Appellate Advocacy
Sometimes judges make mistakes. After all, they are only human. When judges rule incorrectly, it may be you who pays the price. However, the judge's ruling does not have to be the final word on the matter.
If you are unhappy with the ruling of a court, you can appeal your case and have the judge's decision reviewed. The appellate court will pour over the transcript of your trial and closely examine the law. If the judge erred, the appellate court will set forth the law and make the judge enter a correct ruling.
We know the law and we know how appellate judges think. Unrepresented litigants and inexperienced attorneys may have their appeals dismissed for the failure to follow some local, procedural rule. We have gone before the court of appeals on numerous occasions and know how best to bring your case before an appellate court.
